420,862. Sputum-cups. JOHNSON & JOHNSON (GT. BRITAIN), Ltd., Fairlie Road, Slough, Buckinghamshire.-(Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Feb. 9, 1934, No. 4355. [Class 26] [See also Group XVII] A throwaway sputum-cup, Fig. 1, is constructed from a blank, Fig. 4, of cardboard, waterproof paper, &c., which is substantially T-shaped, on which is superimposed a sheet 7 of antiseptic absorbent material and which is scored at 12 to facilitate its being doubled upon itself. The side-arms 6 of the T form side-flaps and the lower part 10 a cover; the blank is scored at 11 and 9 to permit folding and also at 8 in the shape of a diamond so that side-pressure on the cup will cause it to open.
