Abstract
417,911. Electric - lamp holders. FRAZER, A. J., 34, Penywern Road, Earl's Court, London. Feb. 19, 1934, No. 5486. Convention date, Feb. 20, 1933. [Class 39 (ii).] An adapter having one end 4 for insertion in a lamp-holder and the other provided with lampsockets 6, 10 for bright and dim lighting controlled by a switch, is fitted with lateral contacts 22, 25 with which a plug c<2> can be engaged to provide a supply for a wireless apparatus, fan, heater, &c. The contacts 22, 25 are associated directly with the leads 7, 3 connected to the supply terminals 4, 5. The central lampholder contacts 5*, 12 are connected directly to the supply, but the outer contacts 6, 10 are connected by leads 13, 14 to stationary switch contacts 13<a>, 14<a>, the conductor 7 also leading to a contact 7<a>. The moving contact 9 carried by a rotary disc 8 bridges any pair of the contacts 7<a>, 13<a>, 14<a> and is actuated by a ratchet member 17 reciprocated on the spindle 16 by a pull-cord 19 and a torsion spring 18.
