Abstract
A finely divided paste of a vat dyestuff or of a leuco compound thereof is incorporated with a wetting and/or a dispersing agent and/or an accelerator of fixation used in Specification 364,052, and the resulting mixture is rapidly dried by finely distributing it in a current of hot air or other gas. In examples: (1) 6 : 6<1>-dichlor-4 : 4<1>-dimethylthioindigo in the form of an aqueous suspension is mixed with benzylsulphanilic acid and dried by finely distributing it in a current of heated air; (2) 6 : 6<1>-dichlor-4 : 4<1>-dimethylthioindigo is mixed with benzylsulphanilic acid, iron sulphate and the sulphuric ester of oleic acid ethylanilide and dried as in the previous example. Specification 248,811, [Class 2 (iii)], also is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also examples in which 6 : 6 - diethoxythioindigo, 5 : 5<1> - dichlor - 4 : 4 : 4<1> : 7 : 7<1> - tetramethylthioindigo and dibromanthanthrone are employed. The use of dimethylsulphanilic acid, naphthalene a -sulphonic acid and stannous chloride is mentioned. This subject - matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
