[Classes 136 (i) and 136 (iii).] In the resilientlymounted hub and internally - expanding brake described in the parent Specification, the pivot 18 of the brakeactuating lever 19 is mounted in a bore in the stop 23, and the free end of the lever is approximately coaxial with the wheel axle, while the sheath 20 of the Bowden wire is secured to the cycle fork 27, so that the Bowden transmission is not deranged by the oscillation of the brake plate 24. The sheath 20 is secured by means of a holder 21 and a clip 26, which also anchors to the fork an arm 28 adapted to prevent rotation of the axle.
