Abstract
408,413. Steam separators. GUZA, F., 7, Via Kandler, Trieste, Italy. Jan. 7, 1933, No. 636. Convention date, Jan. 7, 1932. [Class 123 (iii).] A separator placed in a boiler steam space consists of a number of concentric tubular members e, d, b, Figs. 1, 3, having perforations or apertures alternately in their top and bottom parts causing the steam to take a circuitous through the separator. The member d is formed by upper and lower curved plates arranged with gaps g between their edges. In a modification, concentric perforated pipes are covered with metallic netting. The steam flows from the separator through a perforated stepped cone n, Fig. 4, the perforations being outwardly tapered. Boiler steam may be admitted directly to the casing k containing the perforated cone through a hand-operated valve t.
