Abstract

408,295. Powder distributers. GILBERT, V. S., Kingsleigh, Grange Road, Sutton, Surrey. Oct. 7, 1932, No. 21279. [Class 18.] In a sugar, &c. dredger of the kind comprising a metal, &c. pot with a valve c which is depressible to uncover the delivery aperture, the top part d of the pot is fitted with a plunger n which is removable with the part d and which is brought into operative engagement with a spring operated stem h of the valve when the top part is fitted in position. The valve remains closed when the top part is removed in order to recharge the pot. The stem h moves in a tubular housing g and it is pressed upwards by a coiled spring positioned between the top of the stem and the bottom of the housing or a spider f soldered, &c. in position and supporting the lower end of the housing. The part d carries a plug k which serves as a guide for the plunger n and also screws into the top end of the housing g and the rim of the part d engages over a spigot-like rim e on the bottom part of the pot. Feet b support the pot with its bottom clear of the table. The valve c is formed with a rounded top and a hollow annular surface.
