Abstract
297,244. McCallum, R. M. Nov. 22, 1927. Pots. -An infuser 5 is tiltably supported within a teapot 1 by a handle 4 which fits detachably in a socket or like member on the infuser 5 and passes through a hole or slot 3 in the pot 1 from which it can be withdrawn after detachment from the infuser. The handle 4 may have lateral projections 6 forming a pivot. The infuser 5 may be a circular, rectangular, &c., shaped perforated gauze cage with a hinged perforated or gauze lid 10, and may be retained in the raised position by engagement of spring arms 11 on the handle 4 with the handle 2 of the pot. The handle 4 may have a push-in, screw or bayonet joint with the infuser 5. A mark may be provided on the infuser showing how far the pot may bo filled without leakage from slot 3.
