Abstract

407,726. Brushes. TROUP, CURTIS, & CO., Ltd., COXELL, S. J., and BURNING- HAM, S. A., 282, Victoria Dock Road, London. Sept. 20, 1932, No. 26133. [Class 19.] A rotary brush for cleaning fabrics, such as upholstery, carpets, and the like, comprises a cylindrical brush supplied with liquid from a chamber 13, the brush being detachably connected to a spindle 2 driven by a flexible shaft 6b. The brush is held by a handle 7 connected to a casing 4 open at the bottom. The chamber 13 is provided with a spring-pressed valve 16 controlling the flow of liquid to a strip of absorbent material 18 in contact with the bristles of the brush. Dust is collected in a receptacle 21 provided with a baffle 22<a> and with a spring door 22. Suction may be provided to remove the dust.
