Abstract
504,815. Brushes etc.; carpet-sweepers. KLEIJ, C. J. G. VAN DER. July 27, 1937, No. 20770. Void. Convention date, July 28, 1936. [Classes 19 and 138 (i)] A brush for clothes, furniture, or carpets, particularly adapted for removing small hairs and threads therefrom, comprises fixed brushes 2 and a rotary brush 3 mounted in the mouth ti of a suction device. Although it is preferable to provide the brush 2 surrounding the brush 3, it is sufficient to place the rotary brush behind the fixed brush. If required, so called striking off members may be provided consisting of a brushing edge or a resilient strip of rubber. Also a second rotary brush may be provided engaging the first, but at a higher level. The device may be used as a hand brush without a suction element.
