Abstract
403,884. Stained-glass windows. LABOURET, A. J. A., 7, Rue Boulard, Paris. June 1, 1933, No. 15854. Convention date, June 1, 1932. [Class 20 (iii).] Stained-glass windows for churches and other buildings of reinforced concrete are made by embedding in reinforced concrete thick trans-. parent pieces of glass with or without a thin coloured covering piece of glass. In carrying out the invention, a tracing is made on a thin clay or other plastic layer in a frame 14, Fig. 4, and the channels for the reinforced concrete are cut out and filled with a thin layer of cement on which the reinforcement, Fig. 7, is laid. The cut-out pieces of glass are then laid on the clay and the interstices filled with cement. The glass pieces are preferably chipped at the edges on one face and the chipped parts darkened or covered with the cement to produce varied light effects.
