Abstract
497,991. Glass wall blocks ; pavement lights ; double glazing. CHINELLI, P. April 12, 1938, No. 11232. [Classes 20 (iii) and 87 (i)] A glass block comprises two glass plates 1, 2 recessed at the edges to receive pliant material 3 such as cardboard, celluloid or fibrous material to form a boxlike element. In a wall block, Fig. 2, the plates 1, 2 are identical, but in a pavement light, Fig. 3, the upper plate 2 is thicker than the lower one 1 and the edges of the lower plate extend beyond the pliant material 3 further than those of the upper plate 2. Reinforcing bars may be provided in the cement joints 7.
