[Class 6 (i).] A wheelless mole drainer comprises a frame having front and rear skids and positioned close to the ground, a rocking arm pivoted on the frame, a mole fixed to the rocking arm, and a disc to cut a channel for the rocking arm, the construction and arrangement being such that the mole may be lifted to the surface of the ground by forward movement of the implement. The frame comprises two parallel angle-irons 3 spaced apart by sleeves 9 on bolts or rivets, and is mounted on wide skids or shoes 17, 21, a handle 49 being provided. The cutting-disc 27 is mounted in front of the rocking arm 31 which is adjustably mounted between two brackets 13 by a pin 29 passing through a selected hole of a series 33. The arm 31 consists of a plate with a front cutting-edge 32. When a locking-pin 35 is removed, forward movement of the implement causes the arm 31 to rock about the pin 29 and bring the mole 39 to the surface. The arm 31 may be held in inoperative position by a pin 37. The mole 39 consists of a pointed cylinder to which is chained a weight or body 45 of approximately conical form to expand the drain and consolidate its walls. To bring the mole into working position it is forced downwards through the channel cut by the disc 27. A series of interchangeable rocking-arms carrying moles of various sizes may be provided.
