May 3, 1932, No. 12760. Convention date, May 26, 1931. [Class 36.] A submarine cable for high-frequency working comprises concentric conductors 1, 2 separated by air or other gaseous dielectric and surrounded by a pressure-resisting casing 8 formed of interlocking profile wires 4. The pressure-resisting casing 8 may be rendered watertight by an external lead sheath 5 which is protected by a jute covering 6 and armour wires 7. The conductors 1, 2 may bo formed by thin copper pipes or of stranded or woven wire and aro spaced apart by insulating washers 3.
