Abstract
400,894. Gas turbines. AKTIEBOLAGET MILO, 32, Kungsgatan, Stockholm. July 6, 1933, No. 19200. Convention date, July 7, 1932. [Class 110 (iii).] A gas turbine plant comprises a highpressure radial flow turbine, and a lowpressure axial flow turbine arranged separately from it, a reheating apparatus being arranged between them. In Fig. 3 the power unit driving the generators 33, 34 consists of a high-pressure double-rotation radial-flow turbine 23 and two low-pressure axial flow turbines 28, 29. The air for combustion is drawn in at 10 and passes in series through compressors 11, 13, 15 to a fuel burner 17. The products are first used in a double-rotation radial flow turbine 20 which drives the compressors 13, 15, and then pass to a reheater 21 after which they are used in the main turbine 23. The exhaust from this turbine is reheated at 24 and divided into three parts ; two parts are used in the turbines 28, 29 and the third part in an axial flow turbine 26 which drives the compressor 11.
