Abstract

398,425. Knitting-machines. PAGE, H. E., 4, Essex Street, Belmont, Massachusetts, U.S.A. March 11, 1933, No. 7486. [Class 74 (ii).] A pattern wheel 20 for selecting the needles of a circular machine is mounted upon a block 26 slidable vertically in guides 30 so as to be movable from operative position while the machine is in operation. The vertical movement permits the teeth 21 upon the wheel 20 to remain in mesh with the needle tricks when the wheel is in inoperative position. A screw 41 projects from the block 26 and is engaged by a lever 50 which can be actuated by a cam 54 under control of a pattern drum.
