Abstract
395,991. Water-gas and coal-gas generation. VERGASUNGS-INDUSTRIE AKT.-GES., 8, Grosse Neugasse, Vienna. Feb. 27, 1933, No. 5984. Convention date, Feb. 25, 1932. [Classes 55 (i) and 55 (ii).] In apparatus for producing a mixture of coal gas and water gas, the coal is fed by a screw 3 to inclined retorts 2 discharging into a water gas generator 1, coke being withdrawn through a shaft 5. The retorts 2 are heated externally by the blow gases, and internally by water gas which is taken off with the coal gas from the upper end of the retorts 2.
