Abstract

Fast prints on cellulose ester fabrics are produced by means of dyestuffs of the formula: <FORM:0395949/IV/1> in which one nucleus contains a SO3H group, the same or other nucleus contains a NO2 group and one nucleus contains a mono- or di-substituted NH2 group. The dyestuffs may also contain further substituents, e.g. halogen or CH3. In examples, printing pastes for acetate silk containing the following are specified: (1)-(3) the nitrated dyestuff metanilic acid --> diethyl-m-toluidine, or the dyestuff 4-nitraniline-3-sulphonic acid or 3-nitraniline-4-sulphonic acid --> diethyl-m-toluidine, solution of gum and turpentine, (4)-(7) the dyestuffs 2-nitraniline-4-sulphonic acid or 3-nitraniline-4-sulphonic or 4-nitraniline-3-sulphonic acid --> monoethyl-o-toluidine, 2-nitraniline-4-sulphonic acid --> diethyl-m-toluidine, or 2 : 5-dichlor- or 3-chloraniline --> dimethylaniline-m-sulphonic acid subsequently nitrated, urea, sodium benzyl sulphanilate, solution of gum and turpentine, (8)-(9) 4-nitraniline-2-sulphonic acid --> diethyl-m-toluidine or diethyl-aniline, monoethylglycol, solution of gum and turpentine.
