Abstract
395,632. Rectifying alternating current. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin . Feb. 6, 1933, No. 3624. Convention date, Feb. 6, 1932. [Class 38 (ii).] Relates to a polyphase discharge device in which regulation is obtained by means of control grids and consists in electrically connecting the control grids in groups I, II each group being supplied from a single source of control potential R1, R2. By this means the somewhat complicated normal grid circuit connections are avoided and in addition fewer lead-ins to the rectifier are necessary. The control grids are divided into two groups so that when operating with considerably retarded control potentials, there is no possibility of an anode having a rising voltage igniting instead of the correct anode which has a falling voltage.
