[Class 38 (ii)] Rectifying arrangement in Graetz connection comprises a double anode discharge device 4 and two grid controlled discharge devices 5, 6. The control voltage for the grids of the devices 5, 6 may be varied in phase to give voltage regulation. This arrangement has the advantage that a multi-anode discharge device without grids can be used.
