Abstract
A composition which may be sprayed to provide a glossy surface consists of Portland or like cement containing a small proportion, such as 0,05 per cent, of saponin. The mixture may also contain magnesia, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, a calcium soap, and finely pulverized quartz, sand or pigments. Absorbtive surfaces may be pretreated with a mixture of equal weights of 30 per cent latex and 5 per cent soft soap solution. The final surface may be waterproofed by adding to the mix 3 per cent of calcium soap and rendered greaseproof by spraying with a solution of casein and formalin.ALSO:A composition which may be sprayed to provide a glossy surface consists of Portland or like cement containing a small proportion, such as 0,05 per cent, of saponin.
