Abstract
507,911. Coating -compositions for walls &c. LANE, S. R. Dec. 20, 1937, No. 35229. [Class 22] [Also in Group III] A composition for producing glazed surfaces on walls, &c. consists of a sulphate such as magnesium sulphate, or iron, potash or ammonium alum, calcium chloride, Portland or white cement, and a waterproofing agent such as a metallic soap or the substance sold under the Registered Trade Mark, Pudlo. A pigment and sand may be added. The composition, mixed with water, is applied by spraying or trowelling, and the surface to which it is to be applied may be coated with varnish, metallic or other paint on to which sand may be applied while tacky or may be covered with expanded metal. The glazed effect may be increased by allowing the coated surfaces to set in contact with glass.
