Abstract
391,048. Suspending cables ; insulators. ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS, Ltd., Carliol House, and KENNEDY, J. R., 85, Jesmond Park West, both in Newcastleon-Tyne. Oct. 31, 1932, No. 30522. [Class 36.] An electric conductor is supported by two inclined strings of insulators attached to the same support and connected at the conductor at distant points, the individual insulators being asymmetrical so that their dishes or sheds are approximately vertical. Two strings of insulators A may be connected by links D to clamps E gripping the conductor G, a strut F being interposed between the clamps E. Fig. 2 shows an insulator with a ceramic body M, metal cap L and connecting pin O of the usual type, but having an inclined shed N with a smooth lower surface. Specification 358,968 is referred to.
