Abstract
387,033. Snap-action switches. CRABTREE, J. A., Endwood, Little Aston Park, Sutton Coldfield. Sept. 15, 1931, No. 25819. [Class 38 (v).] In an ironclad switch the handle d is keyed to a sleeve e having a key feather e<1> which drives with lost motion a toggle rocker f<1> on which is mounted a pin f<4 >which has a lost-motion drive with a plate g fixed on the contact spindle c, Thus the contact spindle remains still while the dead-centre spring is being strained and over runs the handle when the spring has passed the dead centre. A weak coil spring h is connected between the pin f<4> and plate g to take up the lost motion when the switch is open.
