Abstract

386,840. Drying printed sheets. STRAHM, R., 19, Hopfenrain, Berne, Switzerland. April 19, 1932, No. 11221. [Class 100 (ii).] Printed sheets delivered on to the table 1 are dried by heat radiated downwards on to the stack being built, from a stationary radiator comprising electrical resistances 6 controlled individually or in combination and situated in inverted reflector-troughs 3<1>. The radiator is suspended by bolts 4 from spindles 5 on which it is transversely adjustable. The spindles 5 also carry rollers 5<1> working on rails 2<1> by means of which the radiator may be moved longitudinally. A plate 7 protects the rollers of the printing-press from heat.
