385,736. Stop valves and cocks. LEES, A. and BARNES, J. W., Rhodes Bank Lubricator Works, Oldham. Dec. 18, 1931, No. 35043. [Class 135.] Repots, facilitating ; spindles.-A valve or cock comprises a double-flanged split or two-part cylindrical carrier B adapted to engage the valve spindle A and to carry a reversible lift valve disc V by means of the inturned flanges engaging annular recesses in the said parts, as shown. The carrier moves up and down in a cage R which secures the valve seating S and the spindle has a conical part to make a tight joint with a cover part at D to facilitate repacking of the spindle when the valve is fully opened.
