382,239. Colour photography. TECHNICOLOR MOTION PICTURE CORPORATION, 110; Brookline Avenue, Boston, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Ball, J. A. ; 823, North Seward Street, Hollyvood, U.S.A.) May 19, 1932, No. 14267. Convention date, May 27, 1931. Addition to 373,429. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (ii).] In the arrangement described in the parent Specification, a minus green filter is arranged in front of the bipack recording the blue and red colour aspects, both to obviate fogging by light reflected from the films in each aperture and also to ensure precise separation of the red aspect irrespective of variations in the red filter layer. As shown, the green and minus green filters G, MG, are applied to the prism faces 23, 21. To shield the two apertures from light reflected from the prism faces, the corners are cut away and blackened as at 24, 25 and 26, 27 ; alternatively the adjacent parts of faces 21, 23 are blackened or the margins of the mirror plane M are rendered opaque. The objective O is designed to have maximum chromatic correction and minimum focal length in the green and equal corrections for blue and red.
