Abstract
423,226. Photographic lens fittings and mounts. BILLING, N. P., 6, Lower Regent Street, London. July 18, 1933, No. 20966/34. Divided out of 423,035. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (i)] A lens mount comprises front and rear lens components carried by superimposed plates or discs having in their faces circular recesses, eccentric to the optical axis of the lens, in which are mounted rotary discs which lie between the lens components, and carry colour filters, stops, or extension lenses. A shutter may also be similarly mounted between the lens components. As shown, the mount comprises front and rear elements 12, 10 carrying the lens components 13, 14, and an intermediate element 11 having an eccentric circular recess in which turns an apertured disc 15 carrying colour filters in all but one of its apertures and having a knurled manipulating edge protruding at 22 from the element. A disc 24 having diaphragm apertures 25 is similarly mounted in the front element 12, and this element has windows 32, 33 exhibiting the filter and stop indications on the discs 15, 24. A shutter, indicated at 27, 28, may be mounted on the rear element 10. Further discs such as 15, 24 may be incorporated, and in one of these a series of additional lenses for alternative use may be fitted. The colour filters may be of plain gelatin without protective cover-glasses. The elements 10, 11, 12 may be of mouldable or die-cast material, and the mount may be used in the camera described in Specification 423,035.
