[Class 83 (iv).] In the extrusion of hollow billets, especially for use in a subsequent drawing operation, a solid billet is initially compressed and reshaped, and then simultaneously pierced and extruded in the same press. The apparatus for performing the method is the same as that described in Specification 371,919.
