Abstract
The bitumen-rubber coating-composition of the parent Specification is modified by using depolymerized crude rubber instead of depolymerized vulcanized soft rubber. In an example, 5 kgs. of crude crepe rubber are melted at a temperature of 230-270 DEG C. and mixed with 65 kgs. of molten oxidized bitumen and 30 kgs. of asbestos. The compositions can be applied melted to the exterior or interior of pipes &c., it may be dissolved, in e.g. a mixture of heavy petrol and benzene, and used as a paint, or may be rolled into bands and plates.ALSO:The bitumen-rubber coating-composition of the parent Specification is modified by using depolymerized crude rubber instead of depolymerized vulcanized soft rubber.
