Abstract

382,052. Sliding-seat adjustments. SLEIGH, H. L., CHESTON, A. S., and EDMONDS, E. C., Widney Works, Bagot Street, Birmingham. Oct. 10, 1931, No. 28171. [Class 52 (ii).] A slidable seat is locked in adjusted position by a lever 6 mounted on the seat so as to turn in a plane transverse to the direction of movement of the latter, and adapted to co-operate with one or other of a plurality of gaps or notches 11 in the edge of the guide channel 2. The lever is formed with shoulders 8, 9, the first of which can engage the notches 11, while the other can engage the outer flange 3 to act as a stop to the movement of the lever. The lever may be held in its locking position by a spring-influenced ball or plunger 12.
