Abstract

381,825. Watch mountings for cycles &c. MOSSET, W., H÷lstein, Switzerland. Feb. 23, 1932, No. 5371. [Class 136 (i).] In means for mounting a watch on motor cycles and other vehicles the watch is freely pivoted on a cup in which it is partly sunk, in addition to being supported on a spring placed in the cup. The watch 8 is hinged at 9 to a flange 5 on a cup 3, and is normally retained in the cup against the action of a supporting-spring 7, by a spring catch 12, which has an inwardly-bent abutment 16 adapted to engage above a beading 17 on the watch. The cup 3 may be sunk into the fuel tank 1 of a motor cycle. The watch 8 has a shoulder 10, to the underside of which is attached a rubber ring 11 adapted to bear against the flange 5 and provide a watertight closure. The winding member 18 and the handsetting knob 19 are normally located in the cup 3.
