Manhole covers.-A manhole cover b supported on three seats in the frame a is formed of circular portions b<3> and radial lugs b<1>, the lugs being loosely received in sockets a<2> in the frame and being formed on the underside with seats a<4> engaging corresponding faces in the sockets. The circular portions b<3> may be rounded or bevelled as shown at b<7>, and the seats may be of the semicircular form shown.
