Mercury motor meters; casings for meters.-A sealing-mechanism b for a mercury motor meter is operated automatically through a spring-controlled lever a and a bell-crank lever l, by a pushpiece n which abuts against a wall or other vertical support when the meter is placed in position, and engages with the lever l so as to release the sealing-mechanism. The push-piece may be locked by a cotter inserted through a hole n<1>, so as to prevent accidental release of the sealing-mechanism.
