Abstract
Alloys for couples for use in thermal meters may consist of platinum and 3-15 per cent of rhenium, preferably 10 per cent; or rhodium, iridium, or iron may be alloyed with the platinum-rhenium alloy, an addition of 3 per cent rhodium preventing brittleness.
