Abstract

380,068. Pipe bends &c. ADAMCIKAS, M. and MASSERA, G., Astor House, Aldwych, London. April 7, 1931, No. 10197. [Classes 99 (i) and 99 (ii).] A bend for use in piping conveying pulverized materials &c. is provided with streamlined partitions e, f, g at unequal distances from one another, the distances between the partitions and the walls of the bend being smaller towards the convex wall d and greater towards the concave wall c. The partitions are thicker towards the outlet end b of the bend than at the inlet end a, and the outline of the inner surface of the wall d is adapted to be similar to those of the remote surfaces of the partitions. The invention is also applicable to diverging nozzles or diffusers, in which cases the partitions are of circular formation.
