[Class 7 (ii).] Nine cylinders in line have their pistons driving on a nine-throw crank shaft, the angles between the cranks being 40‹. Two or more rows of such cylinders may be arranged radially about a single crank shaft, the cylinders in each plane being connected to one throw of the shaft.
