Abstract
454,275. Two - stroke combustion cycle followed by two-stroke air cycle. ROGERS, H. A., 58, Africa Gardens, Cardiff. April 4, 1935, No. 10427. [Class 7 (ii)] Compartments 11a, 11b in a rotary valve 11 driven at half crank - shaft speed, are permanently and respectively in communication with the mixturecharged crank-case 1 and the air or other non - combustible gas inlet 10. Alternately, they connect with the cylinders 16, 17 through passages 6, 7. The scavenging cycle may be eliminated by making the valve 11 slidable in its housing, and thereby avoiding connection with passage 10.
