Abstract

375,495. Centrifugal pumps. MORRIS, A. G., 31, St. Mary's Road, Golders Green, London. May 13, 1931, No. 14151. [Class 110 (i).] In a centrifugal pump the delivery space 13 above the impeller 10 is connected to the inlet passage 15 by a byepass 20, which allows air to pass without draining the liquid from the impeller. When the pump is working, the byepass is closed by a floatactuated valve 21. In another form, the inlet passage is a pipe separate from the body of the pump.
