Abstract

372,109. High-tension switches. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., 28, Kings. way, London, and HOLLANDER, C., Siemens Works, Stafford. May 19, 1931, No. 14753. [Class 38 (v).] A switch-arm d and a disc k, carrying a number of radial fuses m, are mounted on a pivot g connected to a lever by which the switch is operated. Each fuse is connected to a contact s one of which engages a fixed contact t when the switch is closed completing a circuit w to a transformer &c. All the fuse wires are connected to a central contact q mounted with the arm d on an insulator f, the whole rotating about the axis of the arm d and being moved by a ratchet &c. x when the switch is operated. The contact end of the arm has a spherical surface to engage the line contact e in any position.
