Abstract
370,755. Supporting telephone instruments. KONIGSBERGER, E., 35, Augustastrasse, Breslau, Germany. July 2, 1931, No. 19124. [Class 40 (iv).] A device for enabling a telephone instrument, of the kind having a handle connecting the transmitter and receiver, to be supported on the head of the user, comprises resilient bows 1, 2 adapted to be placed over the head and neck respectively and carrying at each end a box-like receptacle 9 of leather or the like, into either of which the telephone earpiece 5 can be fitted. The wall 10 of each box is slotted at 11, so that when the earpiece is in position the handle 6 of the instrument passes through the slot, with the mouthpiece in the proper position for use. The bottom of each box 9 has a central aperture 8, and on the outer edge a strap 13 is hinged. The strap carries a spring 12 which holds the earpiece in position when the strap is secured by a press-button or the like. The bow 1 is made of adjustable steel bands, and the part 2 is a covered spiral spring.
