Abstract
368,861. Attaching watches &c. to the wrist. PEARSON, A. E. and PEARSON & SONS, Ltd., E. J., Richbell Works, Emerald Street, Theobalds Road, London. Aug. 21, 1931, No. 35504/30. [Class 43.] In means for attaching straps 1 to wristlet watches 11, a metal fastening-plate 3 is provided, having an aperture 5 at one end bent across to form a hook 6 with two separated corners for engaging a loop 10 of the watch. The other end of the plate has a number of prongs 7 and the plate is placed between two layers of the strap, the prongs being passed through the inner layer and bent over to secure the plate in position. The outer layer is extended through the loop, and folded over and secured to the inner layer as by adhesive or other means. Three prongs 7 may be provided one on each longitudinal edge and one at the end of the plate.
