Abstract
368,641. Folding seats. DEAN, E. H., 2, Queen's Gardens, Ealing, London. July 11, 1931, No. 20005. [Class 52 (ii).] In a folding chair as described in Specification 302,516, [Class 52 (ii), Furniture for sitting &c. upon], a pair of intermediate members are united by means which serve to coact with the rear legs for folding and unfolding the same, and which also serve as stops for the rear of the seat when the latter is in its position of use. Such a chair is shown in Fig. 1, the intermediate members g being united by a cross-bar j, engaging slots k in the rear legs c and also forming a stop for the rear of the seat h. In the modification shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the ends of the bar j are formed into eyes n through which the rear legs c<1> pass.
