Abstract
368,599. Sifting-apparatus. WETTLAUFER, W. L., 40, Pearl Street, Buffalo, New York, U.S.A. May 15, 1931, No. 14465. Convention date, May 31, 1930. [Class 117.] Gyratory screens are mounted in a box the sides 12 of which are carried by a tubular member 14 eccentrically within which is posed the driving shaft 15, which is connected by the hub 18 to an eccentric sleeve 26 having a bearing in a ring 25 secured to the supporting frame 10 by a two-part bearing block 22, 23. The end of the tubular member 14 has a bearing on the inner face of the eccentric sleeve 26 by which it receives positive gyratory movement when the shaft is rotated. Counterweighted flywheels 19 carrying packing rings 31 may be secured to the driving shaft. The sieve box may be supported on the frame 10 by means of springs.
