Abstract
367,542. Sliding doors. EDUCATIONAL SUPPLY ASSOCIATION, Ltd., 171, High Holborn, London, and WOOLARD, H., Connaught House, Great Wymondley Road, Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Feb. 5, 1931, No. 3708. [Class 20 (iii).] Folding and sliding doors, such as are described in Specification 5828/13, [Class 20 (iii), Doors &c.], are provided with a channel guide in the door head engaging wheels or rollers 6 near the centre joints of the leaves, by means of which the leaves are caused to take up their extended position for the greater part of the door opening, and with spring catches 9 adapted to restrain each hinge post 2 till the leaf carried thereby engages the guide, and to be then freed by engaging pivoted arms 10 on. the post and leaf, Fig. 5. The guide 5 at the folding end is curved towards the face of the door, Fig. 2. When being opened, heel-plates. 11 on the upright posts are adapted to press aside the catches 9.
