Abstract
365,627. Vehicle windows having signalling openings. BIGGS, F., 57, Tavistock Crescent, Notting Hill, London, and LOWE, BEVAN, & CO., Ltd., Clarence Works, Scotland Street, Parade, Birming- ham. Oct. 20, 1930, No. 31386. [Class 20 (iii).] A vertically - slidable vehicle window of the kind having a pivoted signalling flap a is provided with a stop k to prevent opening of the sliding sash while the pivoted flap is open. The stop is spring- pressed to engage the plate o normally and has a projection q adapted to be engaged by the pivoted flap when closed and to be withdrawn thereby so as to pass through a slot provided in the plate. In a modification where two telescopic spring arms are provided, the ends of the arms may be extended to form stops which, when the fla,p is closed, are withdrawn out of the path of the plate o to allow the window to open. Specification 301,590, [Class 20 (iii), Doors &'c.], is referred to.
