Abstract
365,096. Stands for vehicles. LOGETTE, A. I. and DAINTON, E. H., 186, Walmer Road, London. Oct. 15, 1930, No. 30927. [Class 79 (iii).] Lifting appliances for motor vehicles &c. of the kind having a platform raised by a hydraulic ram, have the platform rotatably mounted on the head of the ram. The wheel track platform 3, 3a is fitted with a flanged tubular head 13 resting on a ball bearing 9 on the closing cap 7 of the lifting ram 1. The ram fits over a pressure cylinder 2 supplied through channels 28. The head 13 carries a guide ram 4 slidably mounted in the casing 10 and having at its lower end a distance piece 17 fitted with a ball bearing 19 for a collar on the lifting ram. The lifting ram is prevented from rotating by a key 5 engaging a flat on the pressure cylinder. In a modification the lifting ram works inside the pressure cylinder and has at its upper end a deep recess for the rotatable head on the platform.
