Abstract

363,100. Roasting furnaces. DOHET, E., 20, Rue Bemel, Woluwe-St-Fierre, Brussels. Nov. 20, 1930, No. 34985. Convention date, Oct. 3. [Class 51 (ii).] Charges, agitating.- A rabble blade 13 for a mechanical roasting furnace is mounted at an angle to a stem 13a, the other end of which is formed as a pivot tc engage a hook member 12c either carried by a rabble arm, or mounted on the underside of a fixed hearth where the furnace has both fixed and rotary hearths. This construction permits easy removal of the blade and allows it to maintain contact with the hearth in spite of changes due to expansion. In the construction shown the block 12, which is adapted for mounting in a fixed hearth, has its lower part forked to accommodate the stem 13a and to provide guides 12b.
