[Class 44.] A spring clip for holding cups, glasses, and other hollow-ware, e.g. for securing glasses in wine cabinets, and comprising a spring tongue and an attachment plate for securing to a support by screws &c. is 'provided with a resilient block forming a cushion on which the rim of the glass &c. rests. Fig. 1 shows a flat attachment plate 10, a spring tongue 12 with outwardly curved upper end 15 to facilitate insertion of the glass &c., and a rubber, felt, &c. cushion 16 held in place by a tongue 17 struck up from the back-plate. Fig. 3 shows the attachment plate cranked at 23 so that the portion 20 is inclined to the support 21 to give room for the foot of a wineglass. In a modification the plate is cranked near both ends so that the portion 20 is spaced from and parallel to the support. Fig. 7 shows a form for attachment to a shelf in which a tongue 32, with hole 36 for a fixing screw, is provided. Screw holes 35, 37, 39 may also be provided in the back-plate and where necessary apertures 38, 40 may be formed in the tongue to give access to the fixing screws. The spring tongue may be integral with the attachment plate and formed by bending, as shown, or by stamping out from the plate, or may be separately formed and secured to the plate. A number of spring tongues may be provided on a common attachment plate.
