Abstract
358,636. Fuel supply valves &c. SOUPAL, W., Matzelsdorf, near Neulengbach, Austria. July 31, 1930, No. 23156. Convention date, May 28. [Class 135.] Locks, applications of.-A valve combined with a lock, for use particularly in the fuel conduits of motor vehicles, consists of a rotary disc slide valve c packed against the seating by means of a cork disc s. The lock casing k of a cylindrical lock is screwed to the valve casing, as shown, and contains spring- pressed pins Z pressing the valve member on to the cork packing, and the cylinder m of the lock drives the valve by means of pins st. The rotary disc valve is recessed peripherally at b to accommodate a fixed stop pin x in the casing a whereby the movement of the valve is limited to 90‹. In the closed position of the valve with the key removed, this stop arrangement also acts to prevent the unscrewing of the lock casing k from the valve casing.
