Abstract

126,506. Barnard, A. W. June 5, 1918. Lift valves.--A cam-actuated stop valve particularly adapted for use with petrol has a valve face 32 of cork mounted on a box-like structure 31, the interior face of which is engaged by the cam 34. The valve member is normally held against a seat formed on a coupling member 15 by a spring 31. The actuating cam is formed by cutting away part of a spindle 27 having a lower bearing at 24 and provided at its upper end with a flange 26 pressed against a packing washer 28 by a bonnet 25 screwed on to the casing.
